The Boneshakers return July 18, 2025, with their 11th album—a raw, soulful testament to the band’s enduring legacy in the blues and Americana scenes.

Produced by John Wooler (who signed the band to Virgin Records in the '90s), the album dives into the gritty roots, Motor City muscle, and deep funk grooves that have defined The Boneshakers for decades.

 

It features standout collaborations with icons like Charlie Musselwhite, Don Was, Coco Montoya, and Gregg Bissonette, with an emotional high point on “Salty”—a powerful duet between Grammy winner Bobby Rush and powerhouse frontwoman Jenny Langer.

 

With fiery originals by Randy Jacobs and Langer alongside fearless reimaginings of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Betty Davis, and Ike & Tina Turner, this album bridges vintage soul with bold, modern storytelling.
